Ghana Drunkards Association to Represent Country at German Beer Festival

The Ghana Drunkards Association will be in Germany in October 2018 to represent Ghana at this year’s Beer Festival, also called Oktoberfest.

The invitation, according to group president, Moses Onyah, popularly known as Drybone, is due to their dynamism in the country.

“We are very pleased with the recognition by the German government, even though we have been condemned by the Ghanaians, ” he said in an interview with KOFI TV.

Oktoberfest Munich is one of the biggest festivals in the world and attracts some 6.4 million visitors a year.

The beer festival in Munich will take place from 22 September to 7 October 2018 and the drunks of Ghana hope to make their country proud.

Moses Drybone argued that their participation will not only attract investors, but will also strengthen Ghana’s relations with Germany.

“We will go to Germany with some of our local liqueurs to promote them,” he added.

Moses Drybone also appealed to Akufo-Addo, president of the country, to promote the planting of the palm tree for beverages, to offer quality alcohol to the country.

In many international competitions, Ghana has failed to excel in most cases and one can only hope and pray to see how much the Drunken Association can be the pride of the Ghanaian nation
