Gambia: Yahya Jammeh Calls For Calm And Announces Return To Country


Former Gambian President Yahya Jammeh is closely following the political crisis in The Gambia. According to one of his relatives who spoke to the Gambian press, Kanilai’s child asked the Gambians to remain calm, serenity and not give any form of provocation; And take care of their daily lives. He stressed the need for the people to pray to the Almighty and to keep faith. He also called on the new government to preserve peace and stability in the country. According to this close Jammeh reports that his mentor was shocked by the “sectarian” statements of the current interior minister Mai Faty.
