In the Gambia, former President Yahya Jammeh is suspected of embezzling $ 50 million before leaving for exile.
The Gambian justice has frozen his property on Monday, May 25. At a press conference, Aboubacar Tambadou, Minister of Justice, said that former President Jammeh “personally or indirectly proceeded with the illegal withdrawal of at least $ 50 million from the Central Bank” of funds belonging to the State.
The justice also ordered an immediately frozen of all properties belonging to the exile president until the end of the ongoing investigation on alleged embezzlement.
