Frederick Douglas Patterson: The First African American To Manufacture Cars

Frederick Douglas Patterson (1871 – 1932) was an American entrepreneur, the first African American to manufacture cars. He was known for the Greenfield-Patterson automobile of 1915, which was constructed in Ohio. He later converted his business to the Greenfield Bus Body Company.
