Former US First Lady, Michelle Obama Sends a Strong Message to Women Across the Globe

The former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, made a strong appeal to women this Saturday, May 05 at a conference United States of Women. This event was organized to promote gender equality. Barack Obama’s wife called on women ” not to wait for a miracle bid  ” to run for election.

Michelle Obama’s speech focused on “empowerment” and the place of women in politics. More than 5,000 people were present to welcome the former First Lady of the United States.


She again suggested that she did not intend to run for the presidency of the United States. However, Michelle called on women not to wait for a miracle candidate who “would save us”. “It does not matter what happens,” said the 54-year-old lawyer. She urged every woman to act in her family, at work, in her community to advance the cause of women.
