Former Senegalese MP Links Rain Scarcity in the Country to “Too Many Sins” of Citizens

Senegal is worried about the country’s rainfall. Indeed, after the fall of the first drops on several localities, the rain is desired, especially in Dakar.

This long wait worries the people, but also the authorities who went so far as to organize a prayer session led by Imam Rawane Mbaye to the Omarian mosque.

“We met today in the presence of the Caliph General, Thierno Madani Tall, Imam Ratib of the Omarian Zawiha, Thierno Seydou Nourou Tall, and all the dignitaries of the Omarite family, Muslims who, behind the Imam Ratib, have all prayed that God grant us a rainy winter without great damage, “said Abdoulaye Makhtar Diop, at the microphone of the Tfm.

In addition, former MP Sheikh Omar Sy said that this was due to sins.

“There are too many sins (in Senegal), things that are done and that do not please God. He (the Caliph) asked on behalf of all Senegalese that God down His Mercy on us, forgive us and help us have a good rainy season. “

This scarcity of rainfall is not without consequences on crops, and yet weather forecasts are not yet announcing good news. This means that farmers are working with speculations that are not greedy for water.
