Forbes 2018 Ranking: Bill Gates is no Longer the Richest Man in the World. Here’s the Top 20

Amazon’s founder, Jeff Bezos, took first place in Bill Gates’ global billionaires standings. The ranking was published on Tuesday, March 6th, 2018, by Forbes magazine.

This ranking is based on 2,208 billionaires from 72 countries and territories around the world.

It is the Americans who dominate this group with a record 585 billionaires, followed by Mainland China with 373 billionaires. Thus, the billionaire Jeff Bezos occupies the first place of the list, becoming the only person to appear in the ranks of Forbes with a fortune of 12 figures.

The Frenchman Bernard Arnault, with a fortune of 72 billion dollars becomes the richest European for the first time since 2012.
