Keiana Herndon and her 1-year-old son were on Facebook Live as Herndon talked and sang to her viewers when suddenly, she collapsed and struggled to breathe. But even as her son began to scream in terror, the number of viewers for her live feed jumped up from just a few to “too many,” according to her uncle.
“It’s amazing for someone to sit there and see somebody or hear them take their last breath, and nobody did anything,” Herndon’s father, Richard, told KARK.
“As soon as she fell and she didn’t grab the phone back, they should have done something,” her half-sister, Keishun Brown, added.
Thousands of people viewed the video of Herndon’s collapse, which continued on until thirty minutes after her collapse when the friend whose house she was staying at returned from work and turned off the video.
A GoFundMe page has since been set up for Herndon’s children and has already raised $2,000, describing her as a “beautiful, free spirited and loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.”
