England’s John Terry’ Father Ted Terry Arrested After a Night Fight with His Girlfriend [Photos]

John Terry’s father Ted Terry was arrested by police after a late-night fight with his girlfriend. Brawl during which she begged her neighbors to take her away from her.

The father of the 65-year-old former English footballer allegedly assaulted his 42-year-old girlfriend Evelyn Minkey during a nighttime argument at their Chafford Hundred home near Grays, Essex this weekend .

While Evelyn injured her finger, a shirtless Terry was bundled in a police van by officers who attended the scene. He was reportedly detained for 14 hours before being released without charge.

 Recounting how the incident happened, a neighbor told the Sun that Evelyn accused Terry of taking his purse and his phone.


“She started shouting, ‘He’s a psychopath’ and ‘Keep him away from me’. There was a lot of shouting and she was telling people to call the police, which someone did.
“She was screaming at him, throwing the phone at him.”
“I didn’t see any injuries on her, but her hair was all messy.”

Neighbors also revealed that Terry, convicted of common assault, cocaine trafficking and aggravated racial public disorder, had a heated argument in the street with Evelyn six days before his arrest.

Police who confirmed his arrest said he was released without charge due to insufficient evidence.

According to reports, Terry has separated from John’s mother, Sue, and has been in a relationship with Minkey for three years.

John Terry had a brilliant playing career for England and Chelsea. He is currently assistant coach of the Premier League at the Aston Villa club.
