Emmanuel Petit: “Messi is Not Ronaldo, He is Too Weak for the Premier League”

As a former FC Barcelona and Arsenal player, the former French international Emmanuel Petit is well placed to judge the two football stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

For Emmanuel Petit, he does not see Lionel Messi playing in the Premier League and especially spending good seasons there as is the case in La Liga. The Frenchman evokes the physical weakness of Lionel Messi to see in him a footballer unable to play in England.

“Honestly, I don’t think it fits the intensity of England. He doesn’t like being closed and fighting. In Spain, it is protected. It would be a pleasure for English fans to see it, but I don’t see why a club like Manchester City, for example, would move for Messi at 32 or 33 years old, ” said Emmanuel Petit at the microphone of ‘Daily Mirror’.

“Messi is not Cristiano, it is not the same machine. Ronaldo is a monster but, at 32, Messi has only one or two years left to play at the highest level. Even playing alongside great players at Barça, he will not have the same pace or the ability to dribble. I’m sure he knows the end is not far away ”, he added.

It must be said that this reaction comes from the rumor that has been circulating for some time on social networks, announcing Lionel Messi on the side of Manchester City alongside his former coach Pep Guardiola.
