Electricity Cut In North Korea To Prepare For A “Potential War”

North Korea has conducted massive evacuation maneuvers throughout the country to prepare for a “potential war”.

Mass evacuation drills have been carried out in some of North Korea’s “secondary and tertiary cities and villages” in the past week, according to Britain’s The Daily Mail, citing its own sources. Moreover, the capital – Pyongyang – would not have been concerned.

The maneuvers reportedly included “blackout” exercises in which entire cities are deprived of electricity during the night so as not to illuminate any enemy targets, the paper said, referring to NK News.

“I have never heard of this type of maneuver in North Korea. However, I am not surprised. (…) They (the North Korean authorities, ed) certainly realize how serious the current situation is, “commented Chun In-bum, former officer of the South Korean army.

South Korea and the United States began a week-long naval exercise in the waters of the Korean peninsula on Monday against the backdrop of continuing tensions over North Korea’s ballistic and nuclear program.

About 40 ships from the two countries, including US-powered USS Ronald Reagan, will be taking part in joint exercises on the west and east of the peninsula until Friday, the South Korean ministry said on Monday. of Defense.

North Korea calls these joint exercises “war rehearsals”.
