He was a media studies student in high school when he began to experiment with photo shop. He would create designs and post them to his Instagram page. He puts a watermark on all of his work to indicate that it is his work, helping him attract more and more followers. He began working with South African television actress Khanyi Mbau in the beginning of 2015, designing promos for her talk show and running her website as well.
The rising social media star has a combined social media following of well over 200 000 which includes international celebrities like Snooki and Kim and Khloe Kardashian.
Dylan Kardashian lived with his family for two years before moving to England. His parent were the first to moved to England before he later joined them. About his time in South Africa, he says: “It was a very interesting period. From learning new languages to fitting in with the people.
“My sister (Tricia) was literally my best friend, at home we would fool around and speak ‘fake Zulu’, until we finally got a grasp of it. I really enjoyed my time in South Africa.”
“My parents wanted a better life for me and my sister,” he said.
The socialite used to visit South Africa every second year, during May and September, but has visited the last two years in a row to see his family and for work commitments with local entertainer, Khanyi Mbau.

In October 2013, the Queen of Rap, Nicki Minaj regrammed a photo of her and Kardahian on her Instagram profile. The photograph quickly received over 60,000 “likes”. Minaj has gone to repost 4 photos of graphic work created by Dylan as well as liking 13 photos on his instagram page. Other celebrities who have liked his Instagram work include Snooki, Khanyi Mbau, Kim and Khloe Kardashian.

In April 2015,Khanyi Mbau gave Kardashian an ‘Entertainment wrap’ on her show on South Africa’s Yfm Radio Station where he talks all celebrity hot topics.
In January 2016, Dylan was one of the stars to kick off the E! Red Carpet season at the Golden Globes Watch Along Party held in London. His YouTube channel has over a million views to date.
Dylan receive a harsh response from Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams after he created a meme and tagged the her in the tweet using #PoorMichelle. Dylan was blocked on the photo sharing platform Instagram by Australian rapper Iggy Azaelia after he tagged her in an insulting meme just before the 2014 BET Awards. The meme was in favour of Queen of Hip-Hop Nicki Minaj.
When asked about the incident, he says: “I didn’t ‘insult’ her. I just shared an opinion which she clearly wasn’t fond of and she blocked me on Instagram. She later got my Instagram account removed and I had to start afresh. I still think she’s cool though.”
The rising social media star, who will graudate with a media production degree later this month, will be taking on a degree in film and television production next.
Aside from his ongoing projects with Khanyi Mbau, Dylan is also working with an entertainment company hosting SA artists when they visit the UK, saying: “We brought Riky Rick in August and later this year we’re hosting Zodwa Wabantu and DJ Bongz.”
The UK based star has also rubbed shoulders with the likes of Nomzamo Mbatha and Babes Wodumo.
