Liberia President, Geroge Weah was hosted by his Fench counterpart, Emmanuel Macron for a working lunch in the Elysee Palace that had Cote d’Ivoire legend Didier Drogba and PSG youngster Kylian Mbappe in attendance.
In his first official visit outside the shores of Liberia, the 1995 Fifa World Player of the Year took a trip to the country where he started his European career and was invited to the home of the French president for lunch alongside prominent football leaders.
According to Drogba who played for Le Mans, Guingamp and Marseille before departing for English Premier League side Chelsea in 2004, the meeting centered on the educational, social, and economic development of Africa with sports as a common denominator.
Guests present for the discourse included Fifa President, Gianni Infantino anf Caf President, Ahmad Ahmad.
