Damien Laporte Has Made History At The 39th African Junior Championships

DAMIEN Laporte has made history at the 39th African Junior Championships (AJC) in Pretoria after becoming the first player from Seychelles to triumph at the event.

The 13-year-old defeated Mickael Osewa of Nigeria 7-5 6-4 to win the boys’ Under 14 title, while Egypt’s Yousef Khamis won the boys’ Under 16 crown.


South Africa’s Makayla Loubser and Burundi’s Sada Nahimana won the Under-14 and Under-16 girls’ events, with the latter securing her third straight AJC title.
