The actors of the Internet world will meet from April 29 to May 11 in Dakar, the Senegalese capital. For this 7th edition of the AfricanInternet Summit (” AIS ” Internet Summit Africa in English), several themes will be at the heart of the discussions. Among others: internet governance, connected objects technology, IP addressing, domain name management, etc.
A total of 500 participants, including various African and international experts in the information and communication technology sector as well as users of Internet services are expected at this annual conference of the internet .
For Abdou Karim Sall, the director general of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the Senegalese Post Office (Artp), the world is moving “towards the Internet of Things, with 5G and mass connectivity, and for that IPv6 is the most suitable protocol.
These two weeks will be an opportunity for the actors to revitalize the ICT and Telecom sector.
AIS is a privileged international platform for the promotion of ICT products and services in Africa. It is a set, a most important multipartite event combining conferences, training and networking on the subject of Internet development in the African region.
