China Donates 100 Police Vehicles to Ghana

The Chinese government has donated 100 police vehicles to Ghana to help the country build law enforcement capacity.

“These vehicles will play an important role in the fight against crime and the protection of the Ghanaian people and foreign investors ,  said Wang Shiting, Chinese ambassador to Ghana, at the vehicle handover ceremony in the capital Accra, Monday.


Welcoming the close link between Ghana and China and the progress made in developing bilateral trade, Wang said China has become Ghana’s largest trading partner and investor.

Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo described China as “a strong and reliable friend. “

He also expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for supporting the Ghanaian police, adding that it hopes the vehicles will enhance the mobility and logistics capacity of the police.
