China, Africa Discuss Ways to Overcome COVID-19

An international video conference on combating the coronavirus epidemic and China-Africa cooperation has been taking place.

The organizers included the African Research Institute of Zhejiang Normal University, the African Research Institute of South Africa, the National Institute of Policy and Strategy of Nigeria, and the China Research Center of Nigeria.


They also released the six-language “China-Africa Joint Proposal for Solidarity against the coronavirus epidemic”.

More than 60 renowned scholars, leaders and media representatives from 13 African attended the video conference.

The participating Chinese and African scholars focused on Africa’s COVID-19 outbreak situation and trends.

They also focused on Sino-African Public Health Cooperation.

The topics were discussed in depth, and suggestions were made for further China-Africa cooperation to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
