Trump Interview – No one has ever said it would be easy but to President Donald Trump, he definitely thought it would be easier.
With few days to his first 100 days in office as the President of the United States POTUS, Donald Trump has admitted that the job was much tougher than he bargained for.
In sharp contrast to his old life, Trump admits that he had more freedom before his job as POTUS.
Placing his recent confessions side by side to his campaign day guts, we would finally end up saying it- “Talk is cheap”.
The picture is usually clearer when you are viewing it from the outside.
Perhaps this is the case for Trump now.
In an exclusive interview with Reuters he said:
“I loved my previous life. I had so many things going,”
“This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier.”
He has not said he was backing down from the job but just being honest about the task of being POTUS. As a matter of fact, during the Reuters Trump interview he handed 3 recent electoral maps to the reporters; emphasizing his meritorious win in the November elections.
“Here, you can take that, that’s the final map of the numbers,”
“It’s pretty good, right? The red is obviously us.”
As the TV celebrity that he was, Trump is not scared of being in the public eye. However being President is a whole new baggage.
“And, while I had very little privacy, in my old life because, you know, I’ve been famous for a long time. I really – this is much less privacy than I’ve seen before. This is, you know, something that’s really amazing.”
For someone who enjoys driving himself and being wherever he wanted, Trump says he is still getting used to being driven. Adding to that he says he still finds being surrounded by security service personnel pretty strange.
“You’re really into your own little cocoon, because you have such massive protection that you really can’t go anywhere,”
“I like to drive,”
“I can’t drive any more.”
Without mincing words, Trump says he misses his old life.
Nearly 100 days in retrospect, Trump is being choked with health care issues, travel ban, suspected Russia ties and the current tension between the United States and North Korea.
While the report says that Trump would not mind a diplomatic approach towards North Korea, an imminent war may be pending.
As obtained from Reuters Trump interview, the president said:
“There is a chance that we could end up having a major, major conflict with North Korea. Absolutely,”
Mike Pence in his visit to South Korea says all options were on the table.
President Trump whom according to Reuters have not changed much sometimes turns to “outside friends and former business colleagues for advice and positive reinforcement.”
Trump is 2 days away from completing 100 days in office. The radical billionaire president has been politically embattled and criticized on some of his policies. However, there has been achievements as well.
Barely one month after his inauguration in January, Trump generated over 300 000 jobs in America. He has addressed LGBT and Pro-life issues like he said he would in his campaign.
