Cameroon’s Former Minister Slams President Paul Biya and His Diet

Titus Edzoa, former minister and former secretary general of the Cameroon presidency, recently published a book on Paul Biya and his regime. In this book titled ”  Cameroon: Fight for My Country,” he states that ” Re-elect Paul Biya on October 7 would be a disaster  ” before continuing ” Cameroon has lost its respectability and credibility. Several international organizations rank Cameroon among the most corrupt countries. Thousands of Cameroonians in the diaspora are systematically discouraged to return .

Basically, Titus Edzoa’s book deals with issues related to the resolution of the Anglophone crisis, the revival of the economy, the role of the diaspora. The book looks like a political program. On this point, the former spawn of the current regime indicates that “a political program can be done at any time because it can not be improvised.”

Titus Edzoa also said that his book would be a great contribution to the candidates in the running for the presidential election in October and for the rest of the citizens. As a reminder, Titus Edzoa wanted to run against Paul Biya for the 1997 presidential election. But he was arrested before the elections and sentenced to a lengthy prison sentence for embezzlement of public funds. He is released in 2014.

Titus Edzoa has always claimed his innocence by announcing that it was the announcement of his candidacy for the 1997 presidential election against Paul Biya that was at the origin of his legal troubles.
