Barcelona: Brazil’s Philippe Coutinho Changes Nationality

According to Marca’s information , Philippe Coutinho no longer occupies an extra-community seat within the Blaugrana workforce. Indeed, for the Supercup of Spain against Sevilla, Sunday in Tangier, FC Barcelona will be able to align Philippe Coutinho as player of Portuguese nationality.

Married to a Portuguese, the Brazilian international attacking midfielder is now considered a community player, like Luis Suarez, married to a Spanish woman. Coutinho, whose wife is Portuguese, has just obtained a European passport and will no longer be considered as an extra-community player by the Spanish federation.

The three South American recruits Arthur, Arturo Vidal and Malcom can therefore be used by Ernesto Valverde. Only Marlon Santos will remain in Catalonia.
