A Silicon Valley Studio Apartment is Being Rented to 2 Cats for $1,500/Month

$1,500. That’s the price the landlord of a studio apartment in Silicon Valley gets per month for two cats to stay.

Weird, right?

According to The Mercury News, 18-year-old college student, Victoria Amith is the owner of the cats and her dad Troy Good had to get the apartment when she wanted to move into her dorm at Azusa Pacific University.

Good was moving into his fiancée’s apartment, also in San Jose and the cats, Tina and Louise just can’t get along with Good’s fiancée’s dog, Jack.

“It’s just a weird thing that happened, that’s all. Basically I’ve got two renters that don’t have opposable thumbs. It’s actually great. They’re very quiet, obviously. The only problem is they stink up the place,” David Callisch, who acts as landlord to the two cats, said.

Well, the cats are also not expected to remain in the apartment long.

“I love my cats so much. I’m so attached to them. I’m like a cat lady,” Amith said.

Amith plans to move out of the dorms soon, and will be taking her pets with her.
