A lot of foods have the magical ability of re-growing themselves. Some of the foods that we are about to present to you can be regrown endlessly. Nonetheless, you should try to grow at least one of these foods and, don’t worry, because it won’t take a lot of your time. What’s more, you’ll be finished in no time.
1. ROMAINE LETTUCE
Using the bottom of a lettuce can help you grow a new lettuce. Hence, just put the stems in ½ inch of water and you will notice new leaves and roots after a few days. Then, you should transplant the lettuce into soil. This method can be used for re-growing cabbage as well.
2. BOK CHOY
Place the root ends of the plant in water and place it in a light area. Leave it like that for 1 to 2 weeks and then transplant them into soil.
Put carrot tops in a dish with little water and place the dish on a window sill. Carrot greens are a bit bitter, but they are excellent salad combination with vinegar and garlic.
Put basil cuttings, the ones with stems about 3 to 4 inches, in water and place them in a well-lit area. When the roots grow 2 inches, you can transfer them to pots. Change the water often so that you avoid slimy basil plants.
Put cilantro stems in a glass of water and when they become long enough, transplant them into soil. Place them in a light area.
Cut the base of the celery bottom and put it in a low bowl and put the bowl in the sun. After 3 days, transfer it into soil.
When new sprouts begin to grow from the garlic clove, put them in a pot with little water and after several days, transfer them into soil. New garlic sprouts have a mild flavor and they are excellent addition to pasta, salads, etc.
Use scallion’s roots to re-grow new ones. Put an inch-long scallion root in a cup with water and put the cup in a well-lit area.
