7 African Celebrities You Probably Didn’t Know Have Undergone Cosmetic Surgery

Being a celebrity comes with its own pressures and demands – whether directly or influenced by the environment people work in.

Besides getting largely noticeable and ‘relevant’ in various industries, there has always been the pressure of looking the part too. It makes it not such a big deal any longer when people have resorted to plastic surgery in order to improve on their looks.

Here are a few of your favourite celebrities from Africa who, through one or two medical enhancements, have improved on their physical looks.

Moesha Buduong (Ghana)

Ghanaian actress and social media sensation, Moesha Boduong is famous for being curvaceous. After several years of never quite stating if she ever had surgery done on her body, she, however, disclosed this recently when she appeared on a TV cooking show hosted by another Ghanaian celebrity, Nana Ama McBrown. She revealed that she had had liposuction but it was not to enhance her bum.

Instead, she said she had some work done around her stomach which she revealed further made her more curvaceous.

Tonto Dikeh (Nigeria)

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, told BBC Pidgin she had to undergo plastic surgery to fix her bum because she did not like how she looked.

She revealed that prior to that, she was shapeless and had a problem fitting into dresses since her tummy was big.

Connie Ferguson (South Africa)

This South African actress has had breast implants and a rhinoplasty (nose job).

She recently nearly ‘broke’ the internet when she posted a video of her and her sisters, displaying her perfect abs.

Princess Shyngle (Gambia)

Although originally from The Gambia, this curvaceous actress lives and works in Ghana. Princess Shyngle has had five of her ribs and her small intestines removed. She hopes to further remove five more ribs, as well as, her large intestines.

She describes her hour-glass look as a work of art.

Huddah Monroe (Kenya)

The socialite had breast implants in 2016. During her Big Brother Africa stint, she lamented that her breasts were small and so she went for the operation to enlarge them.

Vera Sidika (Kenya)

She has undergone two surgeries in the States to boost her looks. The main aim was to bleach her whole body in an operation that cost her Sh50 million ($477,351) before she went for breast implants.
