$6million Lottery Winner Gets Her Check From Robot Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, a woman who won a whooping $6m has been handed a $6 million check from a life-sized robot built by college students.


According to Quebec lottery officials, Guylaine Desjardins, a resident of Laurentides, Canada, won the July 1 Lotto 6/49 drawing after playing the same lucky numbers for 25 years.

The new multimillionaire bought the lottery ticket at her workplace using the numbers 1, 12, 27, 30, 34, 49 and bonus number 35 and says she will use the money to go on holidat sfter the pandemic and take care of her kids.

For the first time in history, a virus immune robot named SARA presented the winner of the lotto with her $6 million check.


During the award presenting ceremony, those in attendance wore masks and maintained a physical distance all except for robot.

SARA, an automated robotic assistance system, was built and designed in by students at the University of Quebec’s school of engineering and Centech, a non-profit that supports technology startups.

“A great experience and a well-deserved outing for our robot who was alone since the beginning of the quarantine!” the Walking Machine club posted on Facebook.
