Around 1,222 tourists have arrived in Dahab on Wednesday, according to sources from the tourism police. It is expected that the serene town will witness larger waves of visitors in 2018, exploring Dahab’s underwater world and participating in the life of the Egyptian-international community.

The Red Sea town is famous for its moderate climate and its relaxed atmosphere with its friendly and hospitable people. Tourists from Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Italy and the United Kingdom are offered a wide range of water sports, such as snorkeling, scuba and free diving, wind and kite-surfing.

The most famous diving spot in Dahab is the Blue Hole, and it is well known amongst the international diving community. The lighthouse, an area where most of the restaurants and hotels are located, offers an easy, accessible and beautiful reef for diving and snorkeling fans alike. Additionally, the town provides comfortable and clean accommodations which are even more affordable than in other diving destinations in Egypt, such as Sharm El-Sheikh.

Egypt also has a glut of tourist attractions such as Luxor, Aswan, Alexandria, Taba and Hurghada. Images of the Nile River also instantly spring to mind. Africa’s greatest river with its all year-round mild climate and its significant location is definitely among the top tourist destinations of the world.

United Nation World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) released a report stating that Egypt is one of the countries that achieved a remarkable revival in tourism with around 8 million tourists visiting Egypt by the end of 2017.
