“51 Years is Enough, Save Us, We’re Fed Up”, Macron Challenged by Togolese in Germany

The diaspora calls again Emmanuel Macron on the situation prevailing in Togo for more than 9 months. The Togolese demand the intervention of the French president in the political crisis that shakes their country.They say they do not trust the African Union (AU) to help Togo.

At the end of a meeting with students in Germany, the French head of state was detained by cries of a group of Togolese. “We are tired of Togolese politics”, “51 years is enough”, “save us, we are fed up”, “help us, we suffer”, “our parents are always beaten up”, “the French complicity in Africa, we are fed up, “chanted those Togolese living in Germany.


Moreover, they do not intend to stop there. They intend to solicit all the European leaders to put an end to this situation, which is taking on new forms.

Since August 19th, the Togolese diaspora has multiplied demonstrations in support of the popular struggle in Togo.
