Celebrities are often looked at as these perfect people, who made it into the industry right after college or high school.
But that’s simply not true, many celebrities started off casually and tried other things out, before they hit show business.
Some actors didn’t even know they were going to be actors until a later age. And in this case, these celebrities started off with military experience.
These are some of America’s finest celebrities and personalities, and they were once fine soldiers as well. Ranging from coast guard, marines, to air-force, these men and woman (hello Golden Girl!) served for their country. And they continued to succeed after serving for the military.
These guys are great examples of people who take control, and they go after what they want.
Elvis Presley served for the U.S Army for two years, and then went on to become one of the most successful american artists ever. The most impressive of this list has to be Morgan Freeman, he served the U.S. Air-force for 4 years! It’s hard to believe because he started his career so late. So it’s refreshing to see his young face in a nice old school uniform.
Another impressive candidate has to be Rob Riggle, with 23 years of serving for the U.S. Marines! Rob started his acting career in the late 90’s and started to get real popular in the mid 2000’s. So most of the time when he was still in the marines, he was acting as well! Rob does what he wants, and doesn’t let societal norms get the best of him!
