2016 Latest Ranking: Top 10 Richest African Artists!! 7 of 10 In New List Are Nigerians!!

They have talent, they have the popularity they are successful, they have money. Life smiles at them, they are adored, revered, they rub the greatest men in the world, they linked together shows, and tours are between two planes. Apart from their social status, they are considered as genuine businessmen because they showbiz, of course, the “show” and “business”.

The music channel based in South Africa “Channel O” has just published the ranking of the 10 richest singers in Africa of 2016.

The complete Top 10 list in order of merit:

1- Akon
American Sénégalais- – Founder of Konvict Music. He opened one of the largest platforms for other African artists such as P-Square and Wizkid.

2 Don Jazzy
Ranked often Best Producer of music in Nigeria. He is the CEO of Marvin Records, Samsung. It has produced songs for big names in the industry such as D’Banj, Kanye West, Beyonce and JayZ.

3- P-Square
They are classified as the best group of African music and also featured on Forbes Magazine as the Africa group selling more concerts and presidential guest in at least 5 African countries. They fly in private jets worldwide.

4- D ‘Banj
CEO Db Records, Artist of the Nigerian music. It boasts of lip-smacking transactions with major international brands of music, Good Music, Def Jam, Mercury, Sony Entertainment with whom he music distribution agreements.


5 – Wizkid
Young Nigerian artist from the label Eme, CEO of Star Boy label, Disturbing London affiliation, international collaboration with Wale and others have allowed him to perform two live performances alongside American singer Chris Brown. It is the best Pepsi Ambassador in Africa. Note that it is also an ambassador for Mtn.

6- 2Face Idibia
He is a musician and produces 10 million records and has at least 7 million digital sales. It is a United Nations Ambassador for Youth and Peace associated with Guinness, Haven Homes, Airtel Worldwide and philanthropist – TufaceIdibia Foundation.

7- Anselmo Ralph
is an Angolan singer. He is an ambassador for Coca-Cola and Samsung brand. Known as the “prince of Angola”, he has a perfume line, a clothing brand, a multi-million dollar tour bus and it is an African artist signed Sony Music.

8- Sarkodie
It is one of the largest Ghanaian rappers of all time. It has a clothing brand. He is an Ambassador of Samsung and Fan Milk Ghana.

9- Ice Prince
Multi award winning best rapper, he got more than six million online downloads. It has two recording studios, he is a member of the Foundation Plug N Play, Ambassador of the Zamani Foundation.

10- Banky W
A musician and co-owner of the HES. He is an ambassador for Samsung, UN Ambassador for Youth and Peace associated with Guinness, Haven Homes, Airtel Worldwide and philanthrope- Tuface idibia Foundation.
