15 Years After Didier Drogba, Senegalese Sadio Mané Wins the Golden Eleven

The Golden Eleven is a title that rewards the best players evolving in Europe through the French magazine Onze Mondial. And for this 2019 edition, the verdict was made, the lucky winner is the Senegalese striker Sadio Mané.

Author of a magnificent season with Liverpool, Sadio was this year better than the gods of football Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and new rising star Kylian Mbappé.

Since 2004, after the coronation of Didier Drogba, no other African has received this award but Sadio has just registered in the list.

He becomes the second African player to receive this prize and is elected as the best player of the season 2018-2019 by the readers of Onze Mondial.

His coach, Jürgen Klopp does not leave any less because he was named best coach by the magazine.
