Masvinu of Epworth, whose title had dropped the title last year, had 98 points. That earned him to resume his title Sunday night in Harare, beating Fanuel Musekiwa, 61, who occupies the second place.
The former winner, Mison Sere, was only able to win third place after scoring 91 points.
“It was a tight competition because all the candidates were potential winners. Last time, complacency cost me a lot but this time I am well prepared for the contest and I am happy to have recovered my trophy, ” said Masvinu, after being declared the winner.
“I am proud of my ugliness since I was born ugly. I now want to export my ugliness to the outside of the country. If there is an ugly man contest (Mr Ugly World), I am confident that I will return with the crown to Zimbabwe, “he added.
Winning Mr. Ugly’s contest allowed Masvinu to win an ox, but instead chose to receive $ 500 in cash. Musekiwa, second, pocketed $ 200 and Sere raised $ 100 at home.
