Known for his shocking statements, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte this time impressed the public with his artistic talents. During a dinner at the summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean), the Philippine head of state sang a duet with a famous Filipino singer, Pilita Corrales.
“I did it on the orders of the commander-in-chief of the United States,” quipped Rodrigo Duterte, smiling, after finishing his presentation.
Earlier, the Philippine leader had met with Donald Trump, who had thanked him for his “extraordinary hospitality” and assured reporters that the two presidents had “very good relations”.
The Asean Summit is taking place in the Filipino capital from 10 to 14 November. Representatives from 20 countries take part in this meeting.
